Cookie policy
Last updated 15 September 2026
This site uses one analytics service, PostHog, and sets analytics cookies only with your consent. This policy explains what is stored in your browser, why, and how to change your choice.
The panels on this page show live data read from your browser. It is processed on this page only and is not stored or sent anywhere, except for the IP address lookup described in section 6.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. Websites can also keep data in localStorage and sessionStorage, which serve the same purpose. Stored data lets a website recognise your browser when you return. Under EU law, a website needs your consent to store or read such data, unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested.
2. Why this site uses them
Only to measure how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and how they move between pages. The results are used to improve the site. Cookies on this site are not used for advertising, and the data is not sold or shared for marketing.
3. What is stored in your browser
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Duration | When |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
kidayy:cookie-choice | localStorage | This site | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. | Until site data is cleared | After you choose |
ph_<project>_posthog | Cookie and localStorage | PostHog | A random identifier for your browser and current session, used to link your visits. | 1 year | Only if you accept |
__ph_opt_in_out_<project> | localStorage | PostHog | PostHog's own record of your choice. | Until site data is cleared | After you choose |
ph_<project>_posthog, ph_<project>_session_registered_properties | sessionStorage | PostHog | Session data belonging to the identifier above. | Until the tab is closed | Only if you accept |
ph_<project>_window_id, ph_<project>_primary_window_exists | sessionStorage | PostHog | Distinguishes browser tabs. | Until the tab is closed | After you choose |
The panel below lists what is currently stored for this site in your browser.
4. What each choice does
- No choice yet. PostHog loads, but records nothing and stores nothing in your browser.
- Accept. PostHog stores the identifier listed above and records page views, clicks and navigation linked to it. If session recording is enabled, it may also record how you use the page, such as scrolling and pointer movement.
- Reject. PostHog sets no cookies and does not store the identifier. It still counts the visit, using an identifier calculated on its servers. Sessions are not recorded.
The panel below shows your current choice, the status of PostHog, and other domains this page has loaded resources from.
5. Who processes the data
Analytics data is processed by PostHog on its EU cloud (eu.i.posthog.com). PostHog receives your IP address with each request, as every server does, and can use it to estimate an approximate location. The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages.
6. What websites can read without cookies
Rejecting cookies does not stop a website from reading information that your browser makes available. The panels below show what this page can read without cookies and without asking for permission. This site does not store this information or use it for tracking.
The following is available only after you grant permission.
Your IP address is sent with every request. Scripts cannot read it directly, so the panel below asks this site's server, which returns the address and an estimated location without storing them.
7. Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time below. This page is linked from the About page. If you withdraw consent, PostHog deletes its cookie and the identifier stored in this browser; only the record of your choice is kept. Clearing your browser's site data also removes your choice, and you will be asked again.
